Merton Children with Disabiities Team (Social care and Short breaks)
Tel: 020 8545 4811
The Children with Disabilities service supports children up to the age of 18 who have learning disabilities, a physical or sensory impairment or who have particular mental health difficulties.
We have an obligation to assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities and then to offer support and services, including a Personal Budget where appropriate, to meet the needs identified.
The M Card
Each child and young person on Merton's disability database for children and young people with a disability or special need can be provided with an M-Card. This card will identify that your child has a disability or special need, thereby reducing any potential embarrassment when trying to obtain discounts or getting help such as 'fast tracking' when there are long queues.
